What is Electricity?

What is Electricity?

Electricity includes the effects of electric charges, whether they build up as static electricity or move as an electric current. In metal wires, electric current is carried by tiny particles called electrons and helps power many of the devices we use every day. We need electricity because it provides energy to light our homes, keep our food fresh in refrigerators, and is essential for operating televisions, computers, and many other machines that help us learn and have fun. Without electricity, many of the conveniences and technologies we rely on in our daily lives would not work.

How the Internet Works

The Internet is a vast network that connects computers and devices around the world, allowing people to communicate and share information quickly. It works by sending messages through cables, including those that run under oceans, and wireless connections, using special addresses called IP addresses to help messages reach the correct destination. This connectivity enables activities such as video calls, online learning, and accessing information wherever an Internet connection and the services are available.
